Dir: Amir Arsames Escandari

Finland / Denmark / Sweden / 2014 / 93mins

Synopsis:

São Paulo’s Sabão Favela is a sprawling concrete jungle in the heart of the city. A place where you can live your entire life without ever leaving, or anyone outside knowing you exist. But for four friends life is about to change. Their unique, politically charged form of Pixação (Brazilian graffiti), is on the brink of gaining them worldwide attention. Pixadores is the story of Djan, William, Ricardo and Biscoito – whose death defying work can be seen emblazoned on high rises across São Paolo. Scaling taller and taller buildings without ropes in the middle of the night they must quickly spray-paint their tags before the police catch them. Dramatically shot, this is an adrenaline fuelled, breath-taking debut from Amir Escandari.
