Agnes Nagy is a Hungarian born producer of music and sound design. She completed her studies at the London Metropolitan University gaining a BSc Music Technology Audio Systems diploma. She has gained experience in Audio Recording, Sound Synthesis, DSP Programming in MAX/MSP and CSound programming, Digital Signal Processing and Psychoacoustics during her university years, and frequently utilizes aspects of this experience in the creation of her sounds. Her music is influenced by a diverse range of styles such as electronic dance, industrial, experimental, ambient, dub and urban. During her 10 years folk dance experience she developed a deep passion for dance and performance, which became her inspiration for creating music and sound for movement and story.
Her highest achievements are:
Her Hörspiel, Yvette’s New World, was played at the first New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival and Conference in 2009 in New York, where she also took part in Douglas Geers’ concerto, Sweep, as a member of the Laptop Orchestra. She led a presentation on Bass Synthesis in 2012 at the Red Sonic festival, and took part in the sound diffusion project by perfoming an acousmatic music concert.
Besides teaching she creates sound banks and occasionally DJs her own music.

Redsonic is finally on the way and a massive thank you for that attended
see link HERE for information on tonight talks by Fiona Curran,
Fiona will be exploring how we start to blur the boundaries of film sound worlds, and mediate between the spoken word and sound design inference, via the idea of soundscaping the character in an attempt to re-represent the subject.
Sound and Vision for the Divine Listener - Lecture by Fiona Curran - Fri 12
"Sound and Vision for the Divine Listener" Friday 12 April
In Sound & Vision and the Divine Listener, Fiona Curran (21%) will be exploring how we start to blur the boundaries of film sound worlds, and mediate between the spoken word and sound design inference, via the idea of soundscaping the character in an attempt to re-represent the subject. She is looking for the truth through sound, and would like you to come and help her find it. To make her case she will use classic film design excerpts, poetry, paper, sonic soundscapes and her own films. She will also be revealing three new works to demonstrate her somewhat wild theories.
In a previous life, Fiona Curran was an industry professional and sound designer with a long list of credits on Film & TV Drama. As a sonic artist (moniker 21%) she has presented sonic works at the Car Boot Art Fair and The Literary Kitchen, as well as working with Simon Gershon (Curran & Gershon) on site specific audio/visual installations. She has recently begun to explore soundscaping through the use of film and has a particular interest in the ideas around sonic portraiture and interviewed transformations. She is also a poet & filmmaker who lectures in film at Kingston University. She holds an M.A. in Creative Writing from the University of East Anglia. As a poet she has been published widely in the UK & Ireland, and most recently published in The Wolf, South Bank Poetry, Magma and the Loose Muse Anthology. Wrecking Ball Press published her first collection, The Hail Mary Pass, and a second untitled collection (she hopes) is imminent.

TOM, DICK & HARRY: 3 Young Men a Day
Yesterday, March 24th, the artistic talent of Soulful Creative graffiti writers Koze, 45rpm and Richt were put through some serious arctic conditions as they live painted a huge billboard on London’s Old Street with our very special and pertinent message. Battling through near minus degree cold, the three artists persisted, with spray can in frozen hand, and ultimately created not only spectacular art, but also a powerful message:
TOM. DICK. HARRY. Every day three young men end their lives. Help stop male suicide.
Suicide is something that every Tom Dick & Harry may well think about, regardless of how successful, talented or popular they are. This is a toxic legacy, which impacts all communities.
Everyday three young men end their lives in this country, with suicide being the biggest killer of men under 35 in the UK. Only 1 in 10 of us are aware of the scale of the problem, so together with BMB, JCDecaux and Soulful Creative, we set about raising awareness of the facts in the most creative and eye catching way possible. Families and friends of those lost to suicide were also encouraged to lay flowers at the site in their memory.
Thanks to every one who came down on the day, laid flowers or came for a chat. It was brilliant to speak to you all and touching to see so much support.
Also HUGE thanks to the artists, Koze, 45rpm & Richt. Three superstars. We hope your hands have defrosted by now!

Graffiti Artists Takeover Old St for Calm - this sunday 24th
On Sunday 24th March, a team of well-known graffiti artists will paint a powerful message across three billboards at Old Street to highlight the three young male suicides that occur on average every day in the UK.1 The work will be displayed for 36 hours before being auctioned in aid of CALM, the campaign against living miserably, dedicated to preventing male suicide.
Everyone is invited to come along and watch the art take shape, plus visitors are encouraged to lay flowers at the site in memory of those lost to suicide.
Volunteers from CALM will be onsite during the day to give more information about the charity and visitors may even get the chance to meet the artists. Refreshments, merchandise and entertainment will also be available.
Ad agency Beattie McGuinness Bungay (BMB) has been working with Soulful Creative and CALM with the support of JCDecaux and Red Gallery to put the project together.
Jane Powell, Director of CALM, said “The public aren’t aware that suicide is the single biggest killer of young men in the UK. We hope that this brilliantly simple initiative led by BMB will shine a light on the issue. Having the support of such great artists and the co-operation of JCDecaux is fantastic.”
BMB developed the concept of using street art to raise awareness around the issue by focusing on the juxtaposing notion of self-expression; something that inspires street artists to carry out their work, but something that unfortunately holds people back from speaking about their problems.
BMB’s Bil Bungay is the Creative Director on the project, and added “This is such an important issue and we are delighted to have the opportunity to work with CALM and Soulful to raise awareness of the rates of male suicide in the UK in the hope that more will be done to work with young men who are feeling at their
Graffiti Artist, Koze of Soulful Creative added, “We simply couldn’t turn down the chance to work on such an amazing project for truly a worthy cause. We hope it can make a difference”.

The Future Is Now!” - Photography exhibition by Imantas Selenis
This photo project of London industrial landscapes invites the spectator to rethink the meaning of the slogan “The Future Is Now!” and look at that future from the different perspective. Inspired by the ideas and visuals of most classic anti-utopian sci-fi movies, Imantas Selenis examines the relationship between growing urban and natural environments, and 'draws' the images of metaphorical future London – urban desert, as a result of our industrial era decay.
The exhibition is open from Monday 11th of March and continues until Sat 6th April, 2013
